My Story

A proud Camden, NJ native, Salina Singleton is a dynamic force in media, education, and community development whose career spans corporate America, nonprofit leadership, entrepreneurship, and the arts.

After graduating from Woodbury High School, where she served as Student Government President and participated in over ten clubs during her senior year, Salina earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Her commitment to service showed up early: while in college she founded the first chapter of Amnesty International on her Hackensack campus and launched "The SleepOut," an educational advocacy program in partnership with Bergen County Habitat for Humanity that earned national attention and a feature on MTV University in 2006.

Salina built her professional foundation across the private sector with companies including Verizon Business, Robert Half, and Estée Lauder before pivoting fully into entrepreneurship and creative work. A storyteller and media producer since high school, she founded Wonderful Me Media, a creative and digital marketing company that has produced the web series Who Got Next in partnership with Philly Jamz 95.3 FM, multiple original podcasts, and commercial media work for small businesses and nonprofits across South Jersey, Maryland, and Eastern Pennsylvania.

In the nonprofit sector, Salina served at POWER Interfaith as a Digital Media Specialist before rising to Interim Communications Director, where she directed public information campaigns, managed digital strategy, and oversaw communications consultants for the Executive Team. She left in 2023 to deepen her focus on building businesses rooted in her home community.

Today Salina runs Wonderful Me Media, providing digital marketing, web design, and event production services to small businesses and nonprofits across the NJ/Tri-State area. She is also the Founder of the Camden Comedy Collective, a production company and creative community she built from the ground up in Camden. The Collective, which is the fastest growing creative community in New Jersey and includes comedians, writers, filmmakers, musicians, and dancers, continues to grow the South Jersey comedy scene through original sketch and stand-up productions, weekly open mics, and immersive events. Her long-term vision is to open a full comedy club in Camden.

Salina's journey is defined by an unwavering belief that creativity and community go hand in hand, and that Camden has always had exactly what it needs to thrive.
